How to make Drumstick OR Moringe
Drumstick, also known as Moringa, is a vegetable that is commonly used in Indian cuisine. Here's a simple recipe to make drumstick curry:
Ingredients:
- 4-5 drumsticks, peeled and cut into 3-inch pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a medium-sized pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onions and cook until they are translucent.
Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for a minute or until the raw smell disappears.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Add the drumstick pieces, salt, green chilies, and water. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the drumsticks are tender and the curry has thickened.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice or chapati.
